Considered one of the best guitarists in Mexico and an influential figure in Mexico's rock and heavy metal scenes, he was renowned for his participation in the pioneering group La Lupita. From a young age, Nava displayed an innate passion for music and performing arts. He studied under esteemed mentors such as Hebe Rossell and Guillermo Briseño. Nava completed his basic and preparatory education at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where his love for music, particularly heavy metal, flourished. In 1987, he pursued further studies in Sociology at UNAM and in Composition at the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Musicales (CIEM). Throughout his career, Nava was a key member of various musical groups, earning recognition for his guitar prowess and contributions to the Latin American rock and metal genres. In his adolescence, he played in the metal band Raxas, and in 1991, he founded La Lupita. The band's debut album, "Pa' servirle a usted," was released in 1992, marking the beginning of a successful journey. Nava was the only constant member in all iterations of La Lupita. In 2007, Nava founded the heavy metal band RECOLECTOR, collaborating with internationally acclaimed artists such as Tony Almont, Frank Ferrer, and Rusty Anderson. He also collaborated with prominent artists and groups such as Caifanes, Fobia, Café Tacuba, and Charlie Montana. In addition, he composed and produced music for films like "Seis días en la oscuridad" and "KM 31," earning accolades such as the Phonos Medal and Ariel Awards for his work. His career also saw him involved in media, including working with the music channel Telehit.
