Daughter of Dr. Joseph Ernest De Becker and Ethel Dorothy (Susu) De Becker.

Marie was a resident of Manilla when the Pacific War broke out. She was confined in the Santo Thomas Interment Camp by the Japanese Army until American forces, under McArthur, liberated Manilla in March, 1945.

She later married Maj. Gen. Charles A. Willoughby, Chief of Intelligence to General McArthur during most of World War II and the Korean War (Bio by: Rebecca Ewing Peterson)
